Starting off as swampland and transforming into an expansive centre with 96 specialty stores at its inception, it quickly overtook Sundale Shopping Centre in Southport to become the region’s largest mall. Featuring themed outdoor designs including mock-Tudor buildings, European thoroughfares and Asian villages complete with ponds and French Quarters – all under one roof – no wonder there were many expansions over time that saw 400+ speciality stores join four anchor tenants! In 1992 Myer opened store doors within ‘The Arcade’, solidifying Pacific Fair as an iconic destination for locals & visitors alike.
